Easter celebration

on the crossroad of traditions and creativity

Easter is the most beloved, brightest, and widely celebrated holiday in Armenia. Even though some of the ancient national traditions of Easter feast have been lost, we try to keep them alive, carefully preserve and pass on through generations all knowledge inherited from ancestors. For the very purpose, by the request of our client World Vision Armenia Country office, a two-day event was designed and implemented in Gegharkunik region. On the 3rd and 4th of April, 2021, over 1000 children from Chambarak, Drakhtik, Martuni, Getik, Ttu Jur and Vahan revealed the mystery and rite of the holiday through creative work, entertainment, and theater performance. Children enjoyed a range of activities: they made beautiful decorations and created the installation “Tree of Life” in the municipal garden. The finishing touch of the project was the tree-planting, which symbolized the new beginning and continuance of life.
